Roadtrip 2014: Vancouver - Yakima - Boise - Provo - Flagstaff - Tucson - Palm Springs - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Eureka - Bandon - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 5 - Provo to Flagstaff

Finding Gregory Crewdson

Every year, there is a contest to photograph the cheapest advertised motel room. This one held the lead for barely an hour.

Patriotism shines at this long time American tradition - the road side pit stop.

The world's first attempt at equine miniature golf. The horses unexpectedly hated it.

Through a bug splattered windshield, we spot the new leader in the cheapest room competition - at $24.95. Can't even get a campsite for that number these days!

Them's the Vermilion Cliffses

Hours and Hours of Vermilion

And hours and hours... oh wait! A Christmas tree farm!

Flying by the Vermillion Cliffs that without the perfect light - aren't so Vermillion any more.

A long travel day has gone by in a blur - the sun has set - but Macy's is open and happy to oblige our cravings.

Yup - a great comfort to know this institution is still brewing up the very best.
